Independent Living

The Village of Westland does accept some section 8 programs. Please inquire about the information needed to qualify. Programs are not run by The Village of Westland but require a working partnership with us.

Double Occupancy: $300 additional.

Administrative/Move-in Fee: $1,000 non-refundable which covers the administrative costs associated with the rental, move-in, and cleaning costs.

Pet Fee: $400 non-refundable.
*pet vaccinations records are required at the time the pet moves in

Apartments are equipped with electric heat and central air conditioning. Residents are responsible for their electric bill. Verification will be required prior to move in.

The Village of Westland is a non-smoking facility. Designated smoking areas are located on the campus grounds. Violation of this policy will result in eviction.

Some units are subject to a $75 per month fee in addition to what is listed above.

Independent Living Studio Apartments include:

Rose Cottage (Assisted Living licensed as Adult Foster Care, Alzheimer’s/Memory Related Assisted Living licensed as Adult Foster Care), Ivy Cottage (PACE)

All-inclusive Pricing at $5,750/month
All levels of care include: Three meals per day, weekly housekeeping and linen service, personal response system, nurses on site daily, planned social events, furnished studio apartment: twin bed, nightstand, lamp, chair, and full bath, all utilities including phone and cable. Prior to move in an assessment will be completed by a Village of Westland representative.

Respite rate for Assisted Living licensed as Adult Foster Care and Memory Care: $215 per day (five day minimum stay)
Application and Move in Fee: $1,000 one time, nonrefundable fee which covers the cost of returning the apartment back to its original move-in condition upon move out.

*Utilities included are water, heat, electricity, phone and cable. Laundry and Linen services are provided at no additional charge.

Life at Rose and Ivy Cottages is designed with you and your loved one in mind. We have simplified our process to ensure we make this time as easy and worry free as possible.

• Nurses on-site daily to assist and coordinate your care needs
• 24/7 Care Staff to execute your individual care plan
• 3 meals per day, prepared fresh inhouse, and snacks available throughout the day
• Dedicated Wellness Team Member to plan social activities and promote wellness daily
• Weekly Housekeeping & Linen Service
• Laundry Service

Rose Cottage offers private suites with en suite bathrooms. All rooms are fully furnished with a bed, nightstand, dresser, chair and lamp. We welcome you to bring your own furniture in addition to these items or to replace any of the items above.

Prior to move-in, an assessment will be completed by a Village of Westland representative to determine if Rose is appropriate placement.
